A Section of Psalms 119
I have been meditating on sections of Psalms 119 and trying to implement it in my life. A close friend of mine e-mailed me that he has been reading Psalms 119 daily as his meditation in his quest for peace in times of trouble and torment. I have been following his advice and I admit, the individual sections are so deep to the point where I can not read the entire chapter. I have to read a section and sometimes read that section for many days before I move onward to another section of Psalms 119. Here is the section (NKJV Version) that I have been reading and focusing on trying to get it to sink in my life:
105Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106I have sworn and confirmed
That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
107I am afflicted very much;
Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word.
108Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD,
And teach me Your judgments.
109My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.
110The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.
111Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever,
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, to the very end.
