The Passion Has A Blasphemous Competitor

Yes, according to this article in the Houston Chronicle, Monty Python’s “Life of Brian”, the controversial 1979 biblical satire about an anti-Roman activist who spends his life being mistaken for a prophet are planning a 25th anniversary re-release next month. How blasphemous and insensitive.

It’s interesting to note that the guy who plays Brian (Graham Chapman) died in 1989 of spinal and throat cancer and was openly known to be gay and had a long-term relationship with writer David Sherlock, who lived with him for 24 years. God takes people who mocks him very seriously.

  1. Have you ever actually seen “The Life of Brian”?? Its not actually blasphemous as it is not actually depicting Christ’s life at all. It is a movie that is designed to be enjoyed and tells us that we should not blindly follow religion, rather think about what we want from a relationship with God. As For Graham Chapman - How dare you try to say he deserved to die! He was a lovely man, who never hurt anybody. Who cares if he was gay? How dare you judge him like that!
