According to this article at WorldNetDaily, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty has an article that warns clergy about the new Pennsylvania hate crimes law. According to the Becket Fund:
“It is a measure of our times that religious leaders have lately considered taking out liability insurance to cover remarks made from the pulpit,”
This is rather interesting that we are hearing about this now. I would have thought that this would have been implemented 9-11-01 when Jerry Falwell on the 700 Club blamed Gays and the Democrats were responsible for 9-11-01. Robertson apologized for the remarks but Falwell claimed that he made a theological statement and not a hate speech statement.
