Bruno Grandi
Bruno Grandi is the president of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) who wrote a letter with the words “FAIRPLAY” in bold letters that asked Olympic Gold Medalist Paul Hamm to give up his gold medal as the “ultimate show of sportsmanship” as a result of ‘improper judgement’ that cost South Korea’s Yang Tae-young the all-around gold medal in Gymnastics.
The letter had such statements as “The true winner of the all-around competition is Yang Tae-young,” and above the “Dear Paul” greeting on the letter, printed in bold, black letters, all capitalized was the word “FAIRPLAY”.
