Throughout this weekend, I have had many thoughts about church life and also the influence of the church on society today. Thanks to Diane at CrossRoads for the excelent article entitled Football’s Pious Pioneer about Amos Alonzo Stagg. Even more amazing about the article was the fact that Stagg also coached another inventor of a sport and was indirectly influential in the development of that sport.

It’s been time for the church to make the shift from being evangelpolitical where the church expects the goverment and Congress to be their hired evangelist to being evangelistic again where the church goes out and evangelizes their city and enact change one soul at a time.

Believe it or not, I actually receive e-mails as to how the “Antichrist of The Week” came into existence? Some people find it hilarious while some love to “rebuke” me for trivializing the book of Revelation. I thought I had an old post explaining this but I could not find it easily. I then remembered this explanation I had wrote in response to someone’s question and I decided to post it with a more expanded story.
