Gospel Poker

It looks like Pragmatic Christianity has cashed in on the latest poker craze. Faith Chips that looks like poker chips.

What’s next, a cast of ‘bizarre’ looking Christians (like some of the characters you see on those poker shows) justifying this? Oh wait, we have that already via the Word of Faith movement that turned Jesus into a sacramental slot machine that putting money into their churches yields a Jesus Jackpot.

Thanks to Ingrid at Slice Of Laodicea for telling us about this.

  1. Sounds like some of those “Tackiest Christian Items” the editor of Wittenburg Door used to collect years ago.

I can just see someone doing some “clever guerilla witnessing” at Vegas or Laughlin with some of these — like trying to cash them in at the casino or mixing them in with the real chips. (Good way to become part of an I-15 onramp with your credit card marking your grave.)
