Tim Challies has this excellent post entitled Making Christianity Better or Rock N’ Roll Worse? where he analyzes a King of The Hill episode where Bobby joins the ‘rad X-tReMe’ youth group. Some excellent observations by Challies and some interesting observations by the people who wrote the script.

It was a very wierd feeling sitting in the sanctuary of my church. The worship started off with a song called ‘The Noise We Make’ that came across to me as random noises. Reading the lyrics on the overhead, I really wondered about the content of the lyrics because the lyrics were not too direct in reference to who was being praised.

I received an e-mail a couple of weeks ago where a certain person decided to write me a ‘rebuke’ e-mail and actually wrote these words:
You are a Brutus in the Spirit.

Ingrid over at the Slice of Laodicea had an interesting post entitled The Downgrade Controversy 2005 where she Rick Warren and his alliances with false teachers and compares it to something called the “Downgrade Controversy” that took place in the late 1800’s that the great man of God named Charles Spurgeon fought tooth and nail.
