Turning around from a ‘two year derailment’ and around from being a ‘purpose-driven seeker-sensitive’ church (I have learned) is a heavy but temporary price to pay. However, this price in the long run will yield blessing, harvest, integrity, proper Biblical doctrine, and truth and will be more than worth the price to pay.

After hearing of the death of professional wrestler Eddie Guerrero and the WWE doing a Eddie Guerrero tribute show, A friend and I watched RAW is WAR last night. Throughout the show there were special segments where individual wrestlers talked for a couple of minutes about Eddie’s impact on their life.
The most impressive and bold segment was the Shawn Michaels segment paying tribute to Guerrero. In this segment, Michaels mentioned that he never wrestled Guerrero, but they had long talks and discussions about their faith in Jesus Christ (he …

It was announced at ‘the church’ today in ‘the church bulletin’ that ‘the session’ has decided to discontinue the ‘ultra-contemporary’ service that was being held on Saturday evening. In the past, ‘the church’ had bought into the ’seeker-sensitive’ philosophy that it had to have services that catered to the niche-market of most everyone instead of services that preached the sermon of the Lord.

Yesterday, I was talking to a good friend of mine and he mentioned that he and his wife had finally found a church to settle into and to seriously consider joining. It was after my friend had discussed some facts about the church that he brought up a very interesting statement.
