It was announced that there will be another church gathering on the evening of July 23, 2006 to discuss numerous things:

• The spiritual state of the church.
• The financial state of the church.
• An update from the Pastoral Search Committee.
• Responses to the items raised up during the last gathering back in January.
• Current and future direction of the church.
• What is on the heart of the elders.
• Question and answer session between elders and congregation.

It was also decided by the elders to not pursue at this time the proposed changes brought forth by the Christian Education Committee. However, the plan may be reconsidered when the new Senior Pastor was hired and had settled down for it was determined that it would be too big a change to make without the Senior Pastor being present. I can see the point but I would love to see it seriously reconsidered once a new Senior Pastor is called and has settled down.
