This morning, it was announced by the Pastoral Search Committee that their trip to the General Convention last month was fruitful and successful. The position was advertised there and contacts/applications were received during the after-hours time at the convention. There was also discussion of how they have reviewed countless sermons, Internet streaming sermons, viewed web pages, etc. and spent alot of time in prayer and have recieved advice from the Presbytery and the chairman of the Ministerial committee within our Presbytery.

It was also announced that the committee has interviewed four candidates but would not disclose their names/churches, how the interviews went, etc. However, it was not mentioned as to if applications are still being accepted or closed or if more potential candidates are being considered for interview or if interviewing is over and a time of prayer and decision making as to who the committee will recommend to the elders has began.
