Today, I had an intriguing ‘feeling’ to go visit a Christian bookstore. It would be the first time since September, 2004 and three months earlier that I had been inside a Christian bookstore. What christian books and resources I had purchased since then was done either at the nationally recognized bookstores such as Books-A-Million or done with a group purchase where a friend purchased a large quantity online and got a slight discount.

We have seen them in our daily travels. From the church that places slogans on their church sign such as “God’s like coca-cola, he’s the real thing” to the religious group that put in white letters “Got Jesus” on a black billboard on a major interstate highway (imitating the ‘got milk’ slogan), these cornball humorous slogans are designed to influence people to seriously reflect on the state of their spiritual condition.

As I was shocked about An Angel Named “Emma” that I talked about last week, I became further shocked when I went and read this post (and I need to start posting there again when I get more time) at Andrew Strom’s Revivalschool forums entitled WHAT ON EARTH?? – Toronto “DRINKING SONG”.
