Drinking Song of The Third Rave

As I was shocked about An Angel Named “Emma” that I talked about last week, I became further shocked when I went and read this post (and I need to start posting there again when I get more time) at Andrew Strom’s Revivalschool forums entitled WHAT ON EARTH?? - Toronto “DRINKING SONG”.

The song entitled “Drinking Song” is written by Kathryn Riss’s who is the wife of famed revival speaker Richard Riss. I had never heard of the song until reading the forum even though it’s origins are traced back to October, 1997. In fact, the verification found at this link shows the more bizarre, brazen, and blasphemous garbage via the lyrics. In fact, the e-mail text posted at this site referred to people on the mailing list as the “New Winos”.

How disgusting. Where I am from, a wino is someone who has a problem and has no self-control to deal with it, What is so great about comparing oneself to a wino to begin with. What is worse is that the song (lyrics can be viewed at the Revivalschool link or the eptv link) is written to the same tune as the great hymn “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.”

  1. Well, here is the REAL scoop. Hanegraaf is still going strong while almsost all of the revival churches have no more than 1000 people and the gret majority have less than 500 - and I’m talking about those that are in large or medium cities, not rural areas. Also, I’m not hearing about the “drunkeness in the spirit” too much anymore - so now who is getting the last last?
    (I think I hear Hank H. laughing right now..LOL)

  2. Here’s a pretty informative video on Rodney Howard-Brown, the man who fancies himself as “The Holy_Ghost Bartender.”
