It’s official. The congregation had their meeting to confirm the calling of the next senior pastor this morning. I thought that the announcement would be made next Sunday like most votes in the past but it was agreed upon that the results would be tallied and announced at the congregational meeting before the meeting was ajourned.

It just feels as if the logic behind the elimination of introversion is that the more public we make you, the less private time you get to potentially sin. It comes across as being that since you will be constantly public, you will be on high alert and be on your “P”’s and “Q”’s and be the person they want you to be (calling it Christian life) instead of you being yourself and being in reality a supernaturally natural person.

This morning while shopping at Wal-Mart, I received my receipt and on the receipt was a chance to take a survey where I would enter a store #, ID #, and a password and answer a bunch of questions about my shopping experience for a chance to win one of five $1000.00 (USD) Wal-Mart shopping cards.

I have always wondered that question. It seems to be that people who are introverted by nature are ‘profiled’ by Christians as potential ’secret sinners’.

It was revealed in a letter to church members written by the ‘interm pastor’ that he will be stepping down as ‘interm pastor’ at the end of November no matter how the congregational vote for the candidate Senior Pastor turns out (it appears highly likely that the majority of the congregation will vote to affirm the calling of the Senior Pastor candidate under nomination).
