It’s official. The congregation had their meeting to confirm the calling of the next senior pastor this morning. I thought that the announcement would be made next Sunday like most votes in the past but it was agreed upon that the results would be tallied and announced at the congregational meeting before the meeting was ajourned.
The confirmation and calling of the new Senior Pastor passed receiving right at 99% of the total vote (hundreds of members present) and the second resolution of dissolving the search committee passed upon confirmation of calling.
What this clearly shows is not only that a new Senior Pastor is coming, but that at this point in the church’s existence, the congregation is unified to stand with the new Senior Pastor and unified to go forward and do the things that the church was called to do in the first place.
