While driving down the Interstate this past week, I was thinking once again about a concept that I had discussed on the blog back in February of this year entitled Jehovah Jihad where I discussed how it appears as if the modern church has reduced God and Jesus to an attribute that sees God as our own personal crusader to eliminate anyone who disagrees with us.

This morning, it was announced by the Pastoral Search Committee and the Elders that after interviewing numerous candidates, a candidate’s name was brought forward to the Elders and interviews with the Elders took place. After the interviews took place, the Elders made a formal offer to the candidate and after a time of prayer and consideration, the candidate has accepted the offer and call to come. This is pending on a vote by the congregation to affirm the calling next Sunday.
