MeChurch Tactics Hits My Metropolis

9 February 2007 No Comment

If you are very familiar with the video entitled “MeChurch and how it takes a look at the seeker-sensitive phenomenon such as customized start times, no rebukes for crying babies, oil change during service, and gifts to show up on Sunday morning, I’m afraid that one of the tactics has now hit a church in my hometown.

A Baptist church in my area is doing a ‘church project’ entitled “The $100 Blessing” where once a month during a Sunday morning service (exact date within the month not announced), the church is giving away a crisp new $100 bill to some attendee who is physically present and has possession of a bulletin.

The church in Acts gave to people in need, not give to get more people in the church.

What will the church growth ‘ANALyists’ (it stinks) think up next……
