According to this article, Uzziah died because the Ark was built in such a way that it was essentially an electrical capacitor that got it’s charge from static electricity stored in the linen, goat hair and leather coverings that created the temple.

In other words, instead of 2 Samuel 6:7 happening where

…the anger of the LORD was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error

Uzzah got shocked by ‘discharging a capacitor’ with the high voltage flowing through him and ending up going back to ground and died.

Bizarre. Then how come the Levites could touch the ark and not die?
