Onward, Forward, Toward…

Anti-Christ of the week ending 6-30-07 is:

I went online yesterday afternoon to find out the results of the WWE Vengeance pay-per-view (because I did not go out to Buffalo Wild Wings with the guys) and I became very shocked to see that Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy (’Woman’) and their son Daniel were found dead in Benoit’s house outside of Atlanta, Georgia Monday afternoon.

Many people went to see Bruce Almighty. Many more will probably go out to see Evan Almighty.
But I want to see more of God Almighty?
Beyond a movie clip….. Beyond a popular song….. Beyond a pop-culture figure….
I want to see more of Him in my life. I want to sense more of Him in my heart. I want to feel more of him in my spirit?

Ted Olsen posted this great article about when people, churches, and denominations wrap themselves around the patriotic American flag instead of the Bible to defend their causes.

I remember in the pentecostal/charismatic circles I witnessed, there was a very bizarre practice that would take place when it was time to denounce enemies, people who didn’t agree with them, or ask for ill-will on those who left the fold.
