Even though I am not a real fan of her, what has happened to her is very serious and I wish it on no one. According to the myFoxAtlanta web page article and the Atlanta Journal Constitution , the well-known (No More Sheets) and controversial (previously divorced, $1000.00 piece of prayer shawl for TBN, and the TBN televised mega wedding with the 7.76-carat diamond ring) television minister is a victim of domestic violence that happened in the parking lot of the Renaissance Hotel near Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta.
I hope she presses charges and the police finds her husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks, and makes an arrest quickly.

Police looking for Bynum’s estranged husband
Televangelist’s Husband Turns Self In
Everyone will now wonder if she is still going to host the Tuesday, August 28th edition of TBN’s Praise The Lord show. On the TBN page, she is scheduled to host with guests Tarralyn Ramsey and Dewayne Woods from the TBN studios in Atlanta, GA. UPDATE received an e-mail stating that even though Bynum wanted to do the sho, TBN told her no because they did not have enough resources to provide ’security’ for her. Instead, Donnie McClurkin hosts Cassie Davis, La Von Davis, Marvin Sapp, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Demetria McKinney, Larramie “Doc” Shaw, Lance Gross and The Pace Sisters
Even though domestic violence is wrong, I wonder after reviewing some of the Juanita Bynum videos on the Internet and knowing her past experiences about men as documented in her ‘No More Sheets” book if the woman has a serious psychological condition where her self-esteem and self-worth is dependedn on whether or not she has a man committed to her in covenant?
Also, with the recent Youtube videos
http://youtube.com/watch?v=118FAQA3964
where she is talking about sex and pleasing her man, I wonder if her view of love can only be found ‘between the sheets’ with a man (aka the sexual realm)?
Seemed like the message went from ‘No More Sheets’ to ‘Between The Sheets”
What a tragedy. I am very sad for the Bynum couple.
My first thought is that this minister of the Lord was and is being tried in her marriage like another prophetess/pastor that I am familiar with in my hometown in North Carolina. The woman that I am speaking of back home had a husband that was not saved and drank alcohol. Yet this woman had a powerful gift.
God wants to restore marriages. I could only say that this was satan the was prophetess Bynum was attacked.
We need to pray for them.
I was shocked honestly when I read this on a link sent from a friend. There are a whole lot more comments at the Atlanta Journal Constitution link above. They are very interesting. Comparisions were made to the Haggard Jim Bakker scandals for example.
My herat is so saddened by this and I thank God for the people of God who sis truly concerned for them. God wants us to lift them up not tare them down so I am standing in the gap for them both knowing and believing that all things work together for them who love the Lord and are the called according to his purpose. Even though the enemy came in like a flood the Lord said that he will lift up a standard against him so I know that his word will not return to him void so let’s stop the gossip and het in the presence of God and start thanking him for this is already worked out for them in the name of Jesus. I love them both and I know that this too shall pass!
Well i am sa by the abuse but as i wacthed the news last night it is so much more to be sad, and after wacthing all the dvd’s that i have. all of the sudden they want to throw up this mans past.. we all have one, but she taught us to go check a mans credit to make sure who is he, but then she comes out with a public attack about somethn that has been going on behind close doors, i admit thomas weeks may need some help but she needs some help too, because this is going to cause a great diverse in the body of christ… i am sad in my spiirt b/c this could have been handled better , now they are making it look like he is a woman beater.. i feel that its a ttack .. a ttack to destroy because somethihng did go right.. go to ex ministries.com and see what craig lewsi has to say about this… i am sad and going to be prayerful for the body of christ… she is going to make a profit off of her own mistakes and now as a woman of god i am going to pray.. it sads me… to the fullest.. i am alos a survior of abuse…. but i didnt expose my husband, i let god take care of it… jesus is my final answer
I read the Craige Lewis article over the weekend after the link was sent to me in an personal e-mail. He nailed the entire situation down and if we do not know what a ‘holy war’ is, we do now. The war of people filled with gaping holes using any press given to them to expouse their side of the story.
Bynum last night did not appear repentant for her part of this at all. In fact, if one viewed TBN’s archives and saw the myfoxatlanta articles, she came across so self-assured and ‘cocky’ as if she had already won the war in the light of how the Atlanta-Journal Constitution has reported the story. She sees the opportunity to ‘re-re-invent’ herself as the new ‘God’s offical spokesperson for Domestic Violence’ and throw some prophetic into it all.
Then the church will go through a ’season’ on preaching about husband/wives and relationships and domestic violence and when this passes away, go back to Psalms 66:12
blessing schemes and 40 days of purpose.
Both parties need to sit down for a very long season, repent, and get their act back together with God.
