Recently, I have been reading an interesting blog entitled The Grey coats (yes, the name does come from the famous “Civil War in the Church” prophecy that The Morning Star Prophetic Bulletin issues in May 1996) that has talked about the now famous report Ernie Gruen issued in reference to the Kansas City Prophets and it’s relation to IHOP of today.

I received the news recently that a very prominent church in my city (that I used to attend) has decided to end a long standing relationship with one association of churches known for the Toronto Blessing (and their disassociation from the movement) and align themselves with a very ‘apostolic / river’ network of churches that (per this group’s web page) “steward the ever-increasing experience of Heaven-invading-earth”.

A belief system where laws, “do’s and dont’s”, pet doctrines, and rules of conduct, not faith in God’s, is the primary pathway to redemption.
Another way of putting this is:
Jesus + (some other personal ideology made into “God’s Theology) = salvation

Very interesting article from New Man magazine. What is more intriguing is that they have a new CD to be released next summer.

According to the Associated Press, the Iowa Senator responsible for the initial inquiry into the finances of six prominent televangelists is in the process of:
preparing another round of letters to Christian television ministries, prodding them to answer questions about their spending and the way they are governed….
