Special Anointing For Mothers Day?

By admin • May 10, 2008 • Filed in: General

I was watching GodTV last night viewing the Lakeland revival when Todd Bentley started speaking about how for the past ten years, He has received special ‘impartations’ on Mother’s Day.

From there, Bentley proceeded that this coming Sunday (Mothers Day; May 11, 2008), Bentley and the Lakeland crowd will be experiencing this ‘impartation’ as he will ‘lay hands’ on every mother who attends the service. He then proceeded to talk about how his mother had passed away from a stroke and how he missed her, but realized that she died because ’she gave up’.

When I heard this conversation, some thoughts came into my mind such as:

You never hear Todd mention his father. Being that his mother is/was the primary parent figure in his life, could this be one of many correlations of why Todd loves his angel named ‘Emma’ and believes that angels can be female in nature?

Because of the lack of his biological father in his life, is this a reason why he looks up to Paul Cain, Bob Jones, and the late William Branham?

Because of the lack of his biological father in his life combined with the parenting of his mother, is this a reason why Bentley was drawn into a type of Christianity that is matriarchial in nature and has it’s mass appeal among women?

Where will this special “Mother’s Day impartation” come from, the same realm as his ‘encounter’ documented on his own webpage that he got to “visit with the apostle Paul in the third heaven” as Abraham and David looked on

However, the most important observation was one that I had ‘discarded’ until I thought about it again this morning when I decided to research the ‘hunch’.

Is there a connection between Andrew Strom of revivalschool.com leaving America for New Zealand and the formation of the Lakeland Revival in America by a man who Strom has sent out warning after warning (this one sent out 5-9-08) about Bentley and the Lakeland Revival?

It appears that the answer is ‘yes

On March 16, 2008, Andrew Strom posted on his own forum that Andrew and his family were leaving America and would be moving to New Zealand. At the harvestnet.org forum, there was a post in this thread on March 28, 2008 that copied an e-mail received from Andrew that he was now in New Zealand (I could not find the NZ arrival thread on Strom’s forum)

On April 2, 2008, the ‘revival’ broke out at Ignited Church in Lakeland, Florida.

There is three distinct possibilities:

(1): - Coincidence

(2): - Andrew Strom’s perspective - Could this be a part of the “…fear that a terrible “breaking” must come upon this land before she will listen - for she has become far too comfortable to stir herself. I greatly fear that God is about to take away most of this “comfort”. And the same applies to much of the Western World - including New Zealand. Complacency and apathy have robbed the affluent nations of their urgency and spiritual hunger. And they are about to pay a terrible price.” to the point where America Christianity will see another ‘mass deception’ before being ‘broken’?

(3): - Bentley’s Perspective - Could Andrew’s move back to New Zealand be the ‘casting out of strongholds’ via a ’spiritual warfare victory’ for ‘revival’ to come back to America?

I really feel that the answer is most likely #1 and in the long run could have some elements of #2. However, I wouldn’t be surprised that if both sides figured this out and correlated the dates that they would use their perspectives as the ‘weapon’ to war against each other. If the scene in Lakeland is what American Christians are going to call ‘church’, we are in serious and grave trouble and are in need of true Bible teachers who will give us the meat of God’s Word to stand up against the extraBiblical / antiBiblical ‘REBELations’ (yes, it is a stench of rebellion) that are manifesting because it appears right now that ‘the elect are being deceived’. We need men of God that will ’set the record straight’ to the point where the Christians in this nation will not have to sway from ‘revival’ to ‘revival’ to feel ’saved’.

God help us!!!!

I was reading in the book of Acts the other night. One thing I noticed in my readings of that book is that:

The testimony is told
The word of God is preached
The word is linked to the testimony to show the depravity
The call of salvation is bsed on the Word and God’s providence.

All I see out of this revival is ‘angelic visitations’, some ‘angelic conversations’, and trying to link it all to revivals past to justify it all. Also, I am seeing more and more of ‘this network wants me for an interview’ and ‘this televangelist wants to be a part of it’

I’m afraid that American Christians are being taken advantage of and the people at GODLESS TV have fallen for a demonic manifestation.

Last Sunday was not only Mothers’ Day, but Pentecost in the liturgical calendar. While not ignoring the first, the homily at Mass yesterday (St Boniface Parish, Anaheim, CA) concentrated primarily on the latter. (The two were addressed separately, not intermixed.)
