Emergent Legalism
Diane over at Crossroads: Where Faith and Inquiry Meet asks a very relevant question in her post entitled “But I Don’t Want to Help the Poor Anymore?”
and she makes a very astute point where she states that:
…that emergents are no less legalistic than any other “hafta-do-or-don’t do this and this-to-be-holy” group. But they think they are.

Do you really think painting all “emergents” with such broad brushstrokes is really helpful? ‘Cause I don’t think it is … But, as an “emergent” myself, the reminder to avoid legalism is appreciated.
