The Third Rave Is Here

23 May 2008 12 Comments

I received a link from a frequent reader who sent me the links to these YouTube videos. This reminded me that the ‘Third Rave’ (what my buddy Triple-P calls it) has arrived.

WARNING: This is some of the most bizarre and head-splitting videos I have ever seen. In one realm of thought, I really do not want to show this junk but there is a part of me that states that people need to see some of this just to know what is ‘out there’ masquerading itself as Christianity.

This stuff is supposed to be a ‘Christian’ form of worship that Patricia King and Caleb Brundidge call “Ekstasis Worship.” Brundidge is heavily affiliated with Patricia King’s Extreme Prophetic Group being recognized by King as being one of her itinerant ministers. Brundidge is defined as being ‘a traveling “prophetic” D.J.’ that calls his show “Club Mysterio.” employing repetitive “rave” or “trance” techno-style music that assists in sensual motions that is defined by Mr. Brundidge as ‘praise’.

Below is Extreme Prophetic’s own video and listen to Mr. Brundidge describe this ‘praise’:

This stuff is getting more and more ‘demonic’ and more disgusting. Are these people really ‘worshipping’, or are they so ‘tranced out’ that they are partaking of doctrines of devils. Their own video mentions:

…just release yourself into abandoned worship with God, going into the ecstasy of God.

When we’re making decrees and we’re praising God, the music and you’re jumping, and you’re dancing and you’re moving around, the words that we’re speaking becomes one at a cellular level in your body. An’ its not like you’re learning it, it becomes part of who you are.”

“Ekstasis worship, even in our prayer and in our movement, it’s about dancing..feeling it in your body, giving your body to God as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. Begin to whirl and twirl.. things begin to happen..”

Don’t be Berean, just become mindless and just do. And this is from the woman who Todd Bentley of the Lakeland Revival fame considers to be his mentor….

Jesus help us!!!

    Sickening.

I expected this stuff from my native Britan via the all night rave clubs but in a church???

I went to view the last video at YouTube in order to view it in fullscreen and when looking in the ‘related videos’ section, found this ‘Christian rave’ video from a group called “Warriors Cave” with a webpage at warriorscave.com

    ADMIN here

    Neil:

I decided to embed the link to the video to show more of the bizarre.

  2. Diane R says:

Doesn’t this remind you of when Elijah confronted the priests of Baal and they were jumping all around in a worship frenzy? Then Elijah just prayed normatively without all the hysterics and voodoo dancing stuff. I guess satan never has anything new in his bag. He just pulls out centuries old stuff and gives it new names -emergent, seeker-sensitive, purpose driven, Third Wave, prophetic “dancing,” and so on.

By the way, her real name isn’t Patricia “King.” I cannot remember right now what her real last name is, but she decided a couple of years ago to adopt the name King. Get it? Jesus is our “King.”

    Diane:

That is an interesting analogy. I forgot all about that story .

Her real name is Patricia Cocking. She changed her last name to Coking because she was claiming to be getting pornographic e-mails. She got questioned again because co-king sounded like she was placing herself on the same level as God, so she changed it again to King.

Reminds me of the voodoo dancing and music from the Bond movie, “Live and Let Die”! Unbelievable, listen to this man, “abandon your mind”, etc. Sounds like this guy probably does contemplative prayer and this is what he used to get to that “level” of mindlessness and open himself up to the things not of God…

  5. Triple_P says:

Hey, am I the only one who is reminded of “Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom” where Indy ["Doc'a Jone"], Willie, and Short Round go underground to free the enslaved Indian children, and the crazy mob gets ahold of the three of them, and how crazy, mindless, and zombie-like these people were in that movie?

It was like they were in the company of neither the dead, nor the living!!!

Hey, Diane!! It’s me [PoetProphetPreacher]. I’m on ChristianForums.com in the Pentecostal section, listed as “Questioning Christian”! How you doing?

  6. admin says:

Another scene I am thinking about is in The Matrix Reloaded – the dance scene

  7. Triple_P says:

Oh yeah, the Vineyard worship service.

  8. Triple_P says:

I wonder if they would go so far as one secular club I went to once a long time ago. This club I went to featured a “lights out” night where all the lights were turned out, and it was “anything goes”.

I wonder how much like techno clubs this will get. Maybe they’ll have a “lights out” to where you just flail your arms in the Spirit,
hoping to “spiritually” connect with someone [as opposed to physically],
hoping to “lay hands on someone [instead of putting your hands on someone],
hoping to get God’s groove on [instead of getting your groove on].

Oh well, the good thing about this is, from the last video you posted, the guys there are probably looking at all the young women in their tight clothes and thinking wonderful spiritual thoughts about them and hoping to get into their … um …

    churches.

It’s interesting to me that it’s always the girls who “got body” who also wore tight clothes who tried to get front and center in the clubs … wonder why this is the same here in this scenario??

What are they thinking? “I’m gonna out-weird Lakeland, Yoing-Yoing-Yoing”?

Admin, what I think were seeing is multiple psychotic meltdowns, both in Lakeland and Extreme Prophetic; no need to bring in Holy Spirits, Doctrines of Devils, etc. These guys have gone raving crazy.

  10. admin says:

I am not much of a Bond fan, but I will have to find the clip of the movie “Live and Let Die” on YouTube and view it to compare and contrast the two

    LOL!!!!!!

The local ex-Vineyard (now part of Bethel), had some praise and worship services at one time that reminded me of these videos. I kid you not.

    ===========================

In the embedded video in comment 1, notice the blonde haired woman starting off the stage generating the dance pattern, then going on stage, and then leaving the stage? She look alot like the woman featured in the warriorscave, com web page.

    ===========================

    awaken your hearts to God

    AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

sounds like William Wallace in Braveheart

    FREEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Ken, it’s all interconnected. Extreme Prophetic (Patricia King) has been identified by Todd Bentley of the Lakeland Revival as a mentor.

  11. Mary says:

No, that DJ didn’t say that-”it’s no longer about studying the word….”

how sick, how sick..these kids are so young too.

  12. Davey says:

Guys. It’s dead easy to judge something you don’t get. Especially when its packaged like this. I personally don’t feel it but that’s me. God connects with us in different ways and we need to give him room. I am saddened by the lack of creativity in worship today. I find it on the whole lazy and complacent and pray the day something shakes it up again. We’re long overdue a freedom of creativity in worship. This form may not be to everyone’s tastes but to people from certain backgrounds its a method they can easily relate to.
