But wait, there’s more…
Bentley did not even preach a sermon.
He mentions talking to Bob Jones about staying there in Lakeland for at least four years and saw Lakeland as a ‘revival-hub’ for 100 cities worldwide where revival will occur naming Bismark, North Dakota as one of the cities. He mentioned how even though God could move where you were at, in order for revival to spread, people would have to come down to Lakeland and take it back with them.
There was also a correlation of a prophecy of a special impartation from Jesus tomorrow on 6-8-08 and how in the Jewish calendar, it is Pentecostal Sunday. He then correlates that since it’s Pentecost in the Jewish calendar, that God will move and come down on the people in Lakeland.
Why is it that they have to try relate it to some Old Testament event to justify it as being ‘of God’?
Also, Bentley traces back the legitimacy of the Lakeland Outpouring mentioning every ‘move’ from The Great Awakening, Finney, Cane Ridge, Asuza Street, William
Branham, TL Osborn, Rodney Howard Browne, John G. Lake Benny Hinn / Kathryn Kuhlman, Randy Clark, John Kilpatrick, Steve Hill, Smithton, John Arnott to Bentley calling it ’same fire’. Instead of proving how the Lakeland Outpouring lines up with Scripture, Bentley attempts to justify the legitimacy based on similar events and manifestations that occurred in previous ‘revivals’.
