Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you
It should be renamed ‘The Gall 2008′ because of the ‘gall’ to believe that dominionist theology and Kingdom now is really true.
We were told that the ‘rally’ on 7-7-08 that was preceded by a 40 day fast was supposed to be the ‘Prayer Rally to end all prayer rallies’ where abortion was to be overturned, pornography outlawed, drugs off the street, the Republicans re-elected in November 2008, and ‘the heavenlies opened’ via the now famous shofar blowing ceremony (video below). We were told that it was supposed to have ‘broke open the heavenlies’ and bring down the new summer of Love on the 40th anniversary of the San Francisco hippie movement. We were told that The Call 2007 was supposed to have ’stopped the insanity’ and ’stopped the judgment’ that was upon America.
Then again, wasn’t this supposed to have taken place eight years ago at The Call 2000 (reference his video on his main page) in the same city it is being held at this year? Why is it held on 8-16-08 instead of 8-8-08 (you third wave dominionists love cool number patterns called ‘prophecy’)? Is it because the Beijing Olympics start on that day and we can’t do anything on that day because the IOC has a exclusive right to that date or is it 8 times 2 = 16 and therefore, an Elisha ‘double-portion’ day (LOL!!!)?
What was the overall impact of The Call 2007 and ‘change’ in society that was supposed to have been brought forth by this rally as we look back at The Call 2007 one year later? Higher food and gas prices, more porn, increased teen pregnancies, and Lakeland?????
In fact, I am now beginning to wonder why would Lou Engle would need to tell people to come to a rally to pray for ‘revival’ when ‘the revival of 2008′ is supposedly happening right now in Lakeland? I thought all the dominionist Elijah-List buddies all stuck together?
Instead of building a church, we built a ’segmented’ voting bloc that was exploited.
Instead of preaching the Gospel, we were driven by ‘purpose’.
Instead of seeking God, we became ’seeker sensitive’.
Instead of truly repenting to change, we selectively made up sins and ‘repented’ hoping it was ‘the one’ to ‘change things’.
Instead of adhering to the Scriptures, we ‘emerged’ and re-wrote the Bible.
Instead of worshipping in Spirit and in Truth as the Spirit leads, we did the charismatic bunny (i)hop around the harp and bowl 24/7.
Instead of fulfilling the Great Commission and receiving the Holy Spirit, we entertained doctrines of devils, kneed sick people to slain them in the spirit, and leg-dropped pastors.

If we look at the book of Acts and compare it to the extra-biblical (and anti-biblical) doctrines that the Dominionists and Latter Rain Joel’s Army, Joshua Generation, Nehemiah’s Wall builders, and Ezra’s Temple Builder people espouse and call ‘truth’ and ‘new thing’, then we would have to call the Apostle Paul a loser and a colossal failure for Acts 26:28 when Agrippa ‘almost became a Christian’ or for what happened earlier at Mars Hill in Acts 17:16-34 when he ‘failed’ to completely overturn the philosophy taught from the Areopagus.
We would have to call the early Christian church ‘defeated’ and a colossal failure because they did not pray ‘hard enough’ to overthrow the Romans and set up a Zealot Christian theocracy of large families with shofar blowing kids (but had the amazing gift to pray to get Peter out of jail in Acts 12, HMMMMM!) capable of doing warfare dances. In fact, you would have to throw out the entire New Testament except for the Four Gospels and Acts 1-8 because you would have to view Paul and the early church as ‘non-remnant’, ‘non-Manchild’, ‘non Manifested Sons of God’ and ‘weak’.
However, as the Reformed forefathers stated in the “Sola Scriptura”
The Scripture Alone is the Standard
And in reference to the infallible Scriptures, Latter Rain and Dominionist theologies does not cut the mustard. Paul was a mighty man of God. The early church documented in Acts set the foundation of what the church of today should be like. The epistles written by Paul show us how to bring wayward Christians back on track and how to handle people who stray away from the Faith and teach ‘a different gospel’.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in perilous times and we haven’t yet seen the tip of the iceberg. We are going to see more persecution. We are going to see more depravity. We are going to see more sick and heinous crimes committed and talked about on CNN as Nancy Grace gets more and more outraged. What are we going to do? Are we going to go to our bunkers and not come out until another ‘candidate from God’ gets elected (we had eight years of ‘God’s man’ and what has happened) or are we going to be the church as described in Acts? Are we going to place our faith in another mega-revival, mega-rally held on a cool date, and mega-pastor’s conference or are we going to go back to the teaching of the word, singing spiritual songs and pray and pray until true miracles come forth?
I’m holding on to the Scriptures.
