Dealing With False Teachers

On this Sunday’s (7-20-08) “In Touch With Charles Stanley”, Stanley discussed the topic of “Dealing With False Teachers”. This is some good teaching that especially can be applied to the Florida Outpouring. Click here to read the sermon notes.

Click here (this week only) to watch the tv show.

    Dear Doctor Stanley:
may God continue to bless your ministry. i wanted you to know that there was a time in 1999 when i had to be in Orlando with my son who is bipolar, i had to leave my husband and go find my son, it was rough not having anyone there with me. i bought a second TV from the salvation army store and the only chanel that would work was the one your ministry was on what a blessing. this past sunday i listened to your sermon about False Teachers. i go to a church and we are told that we cannot wear nail polish, shoes with the toes out, we are told that the least we can put in the offering plate is $25.there is so much that i hear, and i find myself questioning is this God speaking through the Minister or is it their rules i just wonder sometimes. i thank God for your ministry, and i watch every sunday and listen to you on the radio.

I hope and pray that you do come back and read comments on this thread. I am not Dr. Stanley. I just placed my post about the excellent sermon from last Sunday’s broadcast.

However, I would love to answer your question where you asked “…and i find myself questioning is this God speaking through the Minister or is it their rules i just wonder sometimes.”

The answer to your question is ‘It is their rules’. Not God’s rules. It sounds like you are under some serious legalism instead of the grace of God.
