Lakeland Revival Postings 07-26-08

The ReligionNewsBlog has confirmed that Todd Bentley will be leaving the Lakeland Revival on August 23, 2008, which coincides with the last day of the temporary tent tabernacle before it comes down.

I find it funny that the Dates that the ‘three ring circus’ (Bob Jones called it) lasted from April until the end of August. What other ventrues usually last the same timeframes?

Either Summer theater or summer-related theme parks…..

And that is what Lakeland will really go down in history as being, irreverent ‘entertainment’ called ‘revival’ that took place in the summer at the ‘temporary tent tabernacle theme park’ when families save up all year long in order to go on vacation and blow it all at the theme park.

The article states that Bentley is relinquishing his leadership over to Stephen Strader…. Either the Assemblies of God have decidedly to ’secretly’ deal with Strader giving him the option of either break from the revival or break Bentley (and also Wagner’s group, the Elijah Listers, and the modern prophetic movement) from the revival after the Nightline expose and the ‘Ricciardelli Ramblings’ that have been discussed all this week put everything in a bad light. Maybe the information revealed via Nightline and Ricciardelli was known weeks ago.

It seems that the AoG has decided that not only did it want the cake of the Florida Outpouring and eat of it’s monetary and numbers ‘blessings’, but want to once again play the role of ‘protecting the flock’ like they tried to do by defrocking Bakker and Swaggart and pulled their credentials while all along knowing what was going on behind the scenes. Just like they did in the 1980’s when they put up with the sin because the numbers and money was increasing until exposed and forced to do something.

This is a repetitive, very unhealthy, and abusive pattern that has permeated the mentality within the AoG

However, the videos deserve viewing for comedy relief and interesting insights into truth are these ‘mashup parodies’ by YouTube poster Heptavato who has their insight concerning Stacey, The pro-wrestling t-shirts, Stephen Strader, and of course Todd Bentley. In fact, here is one video they did mixing the famous Heather Clark ‘warfare dance’ with the song ‘Dance’ by the heavy metal group Ratt.
