I came across this article while googling more article and opinions about the Lakeland Revival. Even though I do not support this organization, I found their insights and Analysis into the Lakeland Revival, Joel’s Army, and Dominionism very insightful.

I was just reading this article. Hey, if these leaders are saying we are called to be warriors in God’s army where do I sign up? I don’t want to reenlist in the Navy. I don’t people cursing around me all the time. Let me go be a Holy Ghost soldier.
But do these leaders really think that there will be a physical army? That seems to be what this article is saying.
Some of these leaders actually believe that it is time for a physical army. The more and more they speak out, they come more across like the Nation of Islam did in the 1960’s
Yes, things are true in this article but the following quote is baloney:
“They are right to worry. Joel’s Army followers believe that once democratic institutions are overthrown, their hierarchy of apostles and prophets will rule over the earth, with one church per city.”
This was in reference to AOG’s stand on apostles and prophets. Since I am currently a member of a church that has ties with this denomination I was interested in their position.
This statement about ruling an area really sounds preposterous to me. I would like to see a reference of a leader that makes a statement about becoming a theocracy. I do not recall many references in this article at all.
Also, the author of this article is writing from an outsider’s point of view. This could be something seen on ABC or heard on NPR.
Christians are salt and light in the earth. We are a city that is set on a hill. I do believe that we are kings and priests in a heavenly realm. If “Joel’s Army” is going another direction with this they are off base.
I am not convinced that that Joel’s Army wants to rule a county, much less the world! The Muslims’s want to do that! In fact, they are doing a good job at it! Over hundreds of years they have moved into places like Africa.
Theocracy was set up in Moses’ time. We, man, was too sinful, selfish to exist this way. So, God had to begin to bring in government. I don’t think that we will ever get back to pre Moses working of God.
