Will God send you to Hell based on your voting record?

Well…. According to many within the religious right and the ‘anger army’, their answer is ‘yes’.

Here is the logic…..

A “Christian” votes for Obama

Obama supports abortion (the murder of babies) and gay rights

Because a “Christian” voted for Obama, “Christian” (according to the religious right and the ‘anger army’) is a murderer and a homosexual and therefore needs to repent or lose their salvation.

“Christian’s” salvation is lost until they make a public confession of murder and homosexuality and experience humiliation (called humility). After the public confession and humiliation, “Christian’s” salvation is ’still lost’ in the eyes of the religious right and the ‘anger army’ until “Christian” proves himself worthy again to ‘receive’ salvation by ‘earning’ it back by voting for the candidates the ‘religious right’ tells them to vote for.

However, let’s look at the first church in the book of Acts. They did not even have the opportunity to experience the concept of voting because they lived under Greek or Roman rule. So therefore, if the logic of the religious right and the ‘anger army’ was correct, then the many members of the first church (including the 3000 that were added after Peter’s sermon in Acts 2) would be in Hell today because they could not ‘oust’ the ‘anti-God’ government and the first church would have to be considered a drastic failure.

If you try to justify that God gave the early church a break because they had no way to ‘oust’ the ‘anti-God’ government but will not give the church of today a break because we ‘could have prevented’ Obama from getting elected, then you would have to believe then that God is a respecter of persons, shows favoritism, and lacks consistency in enforcing His own Word.

The good news is this, the first church saw more people repent to get saved and experienced more miracle working power while under an oppressive tyrannical government than the modern-day church who saw more people departing from / “emerging to” the Faith and less miracles while under the last eight years of a government controlled by the ‘God’s Official Party’ supposedly brought forth by ‘mega-fasts’, ‘pray-a-thons’, and ‘if my people, who are called by my name…. rallies’.

Am I saying that we need a dictatorship? GOD FORBID!. All I am saying is that the first church saw all of this through the preaching of the Word, seeing some of their brothers in Christ die for the faith, and prayer without ceasing no matter what anyone said. The example is all documented in the book of Acts. What did we see the past eight years? More heresies/heretics coming out from the church, persecution defined as the election of a “DEMONcrat’ to any office, abortion still legal, the lotto still existent, and a belief that government passing laws would “force-evangelize” this nation to Jesus.

The Word!! We better have it in our hearts quickly, now, and accurately.
