We Finally Had To See It

We Finally Had To See It, a ‘prophecy’ related to the Super Bowl.

The Elijah List (the yellow journalism of all things prophetic) has a prophecy by Bill Yount (remember the candy bar anointing and the prophetic heart attack?) entitled “It Takes Practice to Get into the Super Bowl AND the Super-Natural” where he talks about the

Super “Bowl” in Heaven

These people are simply trend analyzers and event mongers who capitalize on events and trends and claim to receive ‘Words from God’. I guess you couldn’t come out and say that the Cardinals would win because it sounded too Catholic. Or that the ‘Steelers’ represented the walls of steel that God wants to breakthrough and as God would want to breakthrough the walls, the Cardinals would break through to victory.

That was way too easy…. Then again these ‘pathetics’ said it over and over again year after year.

They claimed the Patriots (God’s Republican Christians) would win last year because the ‘Giants’ in the land would be conquered and we would see perfection of the Saints.

They got that one wrong in more than one way….

I’m going to watch the game at home this year. I’m not going to the ‘official Christian Super Bowl party’ (where the commercials are bleeped out and the halftime show replaced by a cheezy sports evangelism video). I got my popcorn, Diet Coke, and Wal-Mart pizza ready to go (and Mylanta for that 2 AM wakeup for a tummy ache and potential acid reflux).

I am looking forward to the rumored Audi commercial for the new S6 with Transporter star Jason Statham re-enacting a scene from the transporter movies. And I am looking forward hopefully to see the Cardinals win because I really want to see this guy (who gets it) win and maybe ride off in the sunset just like David Robinson did (in the NBA) many years ago.

And this surprises you, after all you’ve told us about the crazies on The Elijah List?

At the very least, this sounds like sermon imagery (using the Super Bowl as an example/metaphor) that worked about as well as Jar-Jar Binks. At worst, it’s a Jesus fanboy who’s gone off the deep end listening to his own babbling and thinking it’s God speaking to him.

I’d like to see some of these “Anointed Prophets” get a REAL word from God about their Prophesying. Kind of like Job’s know-it-all counselors.

I do not believe that they could receive a true Word from God. They would rebuke it so hard.
