Christian Celebrity Repentance, Episode 6

27 March 2009 7 Comments

Episode 6 is now up at this link entitled “Restoration, Foundations, and Timelines”

NOTE: I went to MorningStar’s site early yesterday evening to look for an update and the last video I saw was entitled ‘Restoration, Foundations, and Timelines” I had previously cleared my cache and cookies before going there. Friday afternoon 4-3-09 7 PM EST, it appears that the video has been retitled “Entering Rest”. I’ll have to compare this video to the many at YouTube to make sure that the name was the only thing changed and not the content

First off, it’s good to see Todd in a new pair of jeans with no holes in the knees plus I noticed that he had the sport coat on again to cover up his tattoos. It is emphasized again that there is no time limit.

However, Joyner quickly goes back onto Galatians 6:1 and tries to tell us that the word ‘restore’ literally means

‘reinstate them, put them back where they were”

In other words, Joyner’s logic seems to believe that since Todd was a ‘revivalist’ with a huge ministry literally means that Todd’s restoration will not be completed until Todd is back in the same exact place of public ministry as a ‘revivalist’.

I still do not buy this definition. The greek word for restore is “καταρτίζω / katartizoÌ„ (kat-ar-tid’-zo) ” (strongs G2675 which means

From G2596 and a derivative of G739; to complete thoroughly, that is, repair (literally or figuratively) or adjust: – fit, frame, mend, (make) perfect (-ly join together), prepare, restore.

It still means that the one who is in fault is to be restored in right standing with God and not restored to the ministry. Todd is already disqualified from ministry because of his adultery, divorce, moral failures, and his heresies (Emma, meeting Paul in heaven, bi-location). In fact, along with being restored in right standing with God, Todd needs to also be restored in right standing with the church, and if possible restored in right standing to those who he hurt.

Joyner still grossly misses the point here. Todd can be restored back into right standing with God and the church if he truly repents, but never restored back into any ministry capacity.

I find it interesting that when these ministers fall, everyone refers to King David and Bathsheeba. There is a big difference here.

David was the political leader of Israel. The descendants from the tribe of Levi were the spiritual leaders.

The political position was not the ministry position even though the political leader heavily influenced the spiritual direction the nation took.

Todd self-exalted himself with the help of the self-exalted third wavers, NAR, and ‘revival alliance’ as the ‘current revival leader’.

Everyone in spiritual leadership in the Old Testament that profaned the ways of the Lord paid dearly with their life. Eli’s two sons (and many call Karl Strader “Eli” and Stephen and Dan Strader as “Eli’s sons”), and Nadab and Abihu are good examples of this.

Back to the show review

Joyner starts talking about Todd not entering into the rest. That was the main problem with this ‘revival’. There was no day of rest for the revival. I stated this in a previous article last July. Even though the main players of the revival (Bentley, Fields, Tomberlin, and others) had a day off every once in a while, the entire revival did not. Even other revivals up to 20 years ago had one day off where there were no services that took place.

Where this conversation leads to is the topic of ‘burnout’ and ‘disconnection’ and it comes across as Todd and Rick seem to blame burnout, disconnection, and the lack of Sabbath rest for Todd’s shortcomings. Those things are influencing factors….

But they are not the actual choice in and of itself.

Flip Wilson, when doing his Geraldine character, used to have a catchphraze

“The devil made me do it”

After listening to this episode, it appears that the concept that is trying to be communicated is

Burnout, disconnection, lack of Sabbath rest, and/or the ministry as my mistress, made Todd “do it”

Nowhere do we see or hear Todd talk about the personal choice “I did this”. We hear at the very end is ‘The ministry became the mistress’

I call bullhockey on that statement….

If the ministry became the mistress, then why did Todd need an intern the first time around to be a mistress in his ‘dark night of the soul’? If the ministry became the mistress, then why did Todd need Jessa Hasbrook?

If the ministry became the mistress, then why did Todd not leave the ministry to seek restoration with Shonnah? Why did Todd not be like Joseph and run away from the ministry turned mistress turned monster?

Because many within the Third Rave and NAR mistake the true prophetic for Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39)

Potiphar, an Egyptian, is a high ranking captain in Pharoah’s army and the Lord caused Joseph to have favor to the point of overseeing Potiphar’s house. It was the Lord who was with Joseph in this time of slavery and captivity and not anything Joseph did. Joseph did his job as he was told to and not to manplease, brownnose, or kiss butt.

In NAR and Third Wave mindsets and mentalities, there is an extreme emphasis on manpleasing to the point of learning the Carnegie course of winning friends and influencing people by our natural means in order to ‘infiltrate’ within the system (like a covert secret agent superspy) to eventually one day be at the top of the system in order to enact the ‘seven mountain mentality’ of social transformation.

Joseph did not infiltrate. Joseph was brought there against his will because of some jealous brothers who sold him out.

We see further down that the loyality that impressed Potiphar combined with the Godly teaching from Jacob was the keypoint behind Joseph telling Potiphar’s wife ‘no’ when she tried to seduce him.

This happened over and over again….

to the point where Joseph eventually ran and Potiphar’s wife made up the story and Joseph was thrown in prison.

The NAR and Third Wave people fail to see this point. Instead they choose to intermingle with the adultress mystery Babylon harlot all the time thinking that they will ‘use her’ to get to the point of being able to regain control….

But every time….. They become so consumed with the compromise and corruption to the point where they become deluded that they are never ready to begin the ‘upstaging’ to ‘overthrow the world system’. And they compromise more and more to go ‘deeper and deeper’ to ‘expose the secret’. And then they get exposed in their sin and whoredom, blame the enemy, promise curses on the exposer, and try and try again…..

Never to see their global conquest. Never to see their end-times wealth transfer of the wealth of the wicked laid up for the just. Never to see their political candidates elected (or the ‘deborah’ not get elected) to overthrow abortion and establish Christianity as the official state religion….. Never to see their end-time harvest global revival. Christianity and economics goes through bareness, recessions and famines that another mega fast, super revival, and another ‘if my people’ rally can not turn around.

But Joseph chose not to succumb to the temptation from the adulterous mistress, paid his price in prison, interpreted dreams and gave wise counsel to eventually go from being a prisoner in Egypt to being set over the land of Egypt to the point of being able to bless the family / brothers, and entire nations in the times of famine.

That is the difference here. Joseph never surrendered to the seduction of the mistress and saw the favor of the Lord with global impact. Todd Bentley surrendered to ‘three mistresses’ (the first intern, the ministry, and Jessa) and experienced the fall and folly with global mockery and went from being a free man to being imprisoned with tormenting spirits that gave him demonic bi-location experiences and wacked out Emma angels and third-heaven encounters.

All of this in the first six episodes….. And we still haven’t gotten to the crux of the problem yet because there is still an intent of restoring Todd back to ministry instead of restoring Todd back to the body. Meanwhile, blame is being laid on the devil, mistresses, lack of rest, and people coming against the revival instead of Todd’s poor personal choices.

Please do NOT underestimate Todd Bentley, Peter Wagner and Rick Joyner and the rest of the high profile members of The NAR. Away from the media, cameras, music and noise of Lakeland they have quieter people grooming Members of The House of Commons and House of Lords in the British Parliament. This project is progressing rapidly. These Christian MPs and Lords need to sever these ties immediately.
Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner and Todd Bentley’s Chancellor in The UK (Julie and Rod Anderson) have made amazing inroads.

    Admin: Global Agenda?

Are you drinking the Art Bell Kool-aid, or does Tatted Todd et al actually think they can pull a Reverend Moon with some country’s government?

(During the Seventies and Eighties, Scientology tried the latter approach in a project they called “Clearing the Planet” — find some third-world country, take it over (usually with some harebrained James Bond-style scheme), “clear” it for Scientology, and make it the first step in “A Scientologized World!” Elron and Co spent a long time on a converted cruise ship fleeing third-world port after third-world port (usually one step ahead of a lynch mob) as this Grand Plan backfired again and again…)
