So Tatted Tod's on The Comeback Trail.

Second of all, when these famous televangelists use the David story, they always concentrate on the ‘man after God’s own heart’ aspects and seem to totally ignore the facts of the family chaos that haunted David for the rest of his life.

As in David boinking Bathsheba (and arranging Uriah's death for a coverup) set a chain of events in action worthy of I, Claudius. Amram rapes Tamar (Dad got away with it, why can't I?) Absalom kills Amram in revenge and causes a civil war. Joab kills Absalom to end the matter permanently and prevent David from pardoning him. And so on, until Solomon (by Bathsheba who started the ball rolling), like Claudius, ends up the only male of the royal family left in the succession.

There's a bit of David in a lot of men. The charismatic hero, the natural leader type, the mover and shaker -- who is completely out to sea when it comes to his own family and intimates.

This ‘revival’ should have never happened. It has now become documented that key leaders knew Todd’s marriage was already in trouble prior to the Lakeland Revival starting up.

I wonder if somebody had the idea that all the high-profile "ministry" might help. Be Uber-Devout, Channel God's Power (or whatever), and God HAS to come through.

Mr. Joyner, Jessa was never intended to be the ‘perfect’ girl for Todd. Shonnah was.
