Apostolic Annoying
Oh, no. Not another “substitute your name” anointing, fast, or army.
Thanks to the ever so alertful article from P.J. Miller’s blog entitled “The Daniel Anointing?”, we have learned of another ‘new thing’
The Daniel Anointing
Let’s see…. Joel’s Army, Gideon’s Mighty Men of Valor, Joshua’s Generation, McHale’s Navy (lol), Elijah’s double-portion anointing, School of the Prophets, Nehemiah’s wall builders, Ezra’s temple builders…..,
More “Charismatic Replacement Theology” at work here. No matter if 1 Corinthians 10:1-13 says it’s wrong.
According to the link for an advertisement at the yellow journalism of the prophetic, this conference is supposed to
raise up a Daniel company of prophets and identify prophets with governmental mantles.
because (according to the advertisement)
the Daniel’s mantle carries a double fulfillment. He is first a prophet and then a prime minister. Therefore the Daniel anointing is a prophetic anointing that God is raising up to usher in a new social order of Kingdom politics.
The Daniel School of the Prophets will be activating future politicians with prophetic mantles. The Daniel anointing is also an apostolic anointing, and in order to raise up a Kingdom government we need prophetic politicians in America like Daniel who can have visions of the hidden nature of God.
This Charismatic Crapola pushed by ‘pentecostal playas’ and ‘holy hustlas’ really annoys me because it is the same crap repeated generation to generation (with different names and titles) that one would think by now that if it really worked, all of these people would be out of business because the government would have already been a theocracy that was “Christian Reconstructed”, the seven mountains were restored, and the NAR would have established the Protestant Pope as the official church leader.
Who’s next to be used? Mephibosheph Anointing?, Spirit of Diotrephes?
What’s with the eerie looking artwork of that lion? It reminds me of those eerie rapture posters the local Seventh-Day Adventists put up describing their next Bible prophecy end-times conferences and/or those pictures of the half human-half wolf pygmy gypsy seen annually at the county fair freak show.
We need to wake up and keep 1 Corinthians 10 in our hearts because those Old Testament stories were examples and warnings instead of events that you substitute your name in place of the Bible characters.

The “Double Anointing” huh? What’s next–the “Triple Anointing”?…..:)
I guess so – would you like the super-size it for $5000.00 more?
LOL!!!!! j/k
I always wince at this “double” of something theology. Didn’t Jesus say if we had faith as big as a mustard seed we could move a mountain. Why do we “double” anything from God? Of course, these are the same folks who say God is “more than enough.” It’s really pretty funny and sad all at the same time.
MB:
The more I think about what you have said. You are exactly right. The ones who love to push this “double anointing” stuff as a solution to those in suffering are the same ones who tell themselves that “He is more than enough”
astute point
I came up seeing people used that II Kings scripture, where Elisha asked for a double portion of the spirit of Elijah, and people would say “God, give me a double portion of the Holy Ghost”, but honestly, I’ve never even met one person who remotely ACTED like a person who had a double portion of the Holy Ghost.
It’s not that God can’t do it.
I think it’s just that people are unwilling to do what it takes to put themselves in that kind of position.
If a person theoretically had “a double portion of the Holy Ghost”, they’d never draw attention to themselves, they’d never prophesy out of order, they’d never run around with a bunch of titles such as Bishop Prophet Pastor Evangelist Doctor Reverend Billy Lee Jones, they would never get offended, they would never hurt others with their words, etc.
I tell Charismatics [about the "double portion"] the same thing I tell Catholics about the Apocrypha:
When I get straightened out with what I already have on my plate, and get it down pat pretty reasonable, then we can look at all the other stuff. I’ve got so much to master right now, that I’m not worried about next-level Christianity.
We need to get this “love thy neighbor” thing down pat before we start launching out into what is called “the deep”. For my money, love is the foundation, and the foundation IS the deepest part of the house.
Stephen,
I sometimes think that the idea of there even being a “next level” with God is at best a diversion and at worst a deceptive falsehood. What it really does is separate us from each other, because it makes us believe that some of are “more special” than others. I don’t think that’s the way God planned it. The idea of levels with God smacks of self-righteousness to me.
What’s with the eerie looking artwork of that lion?
It looks like a crossbreed of Aslan with Hel (Norse goddess of the dead).
