Articles of Interest 01-01-10

Wow! It is now 2010. It is hard to write in that new year. I will probably receive a future bill back in my mail as I at least once during January, write the previous year in the date.

Meanwhile, Happy New Year – no Anti-Christ of The Week this week.

Let’s get to the articles of interest – Shall we!

The Writing on The Wall – Guess who else believes the devil is stealing his money? If “hot Rod” needing “cool cash” in the sum of 3 million was not revealing, it was reported that “seeker sensitivity” is now “shilling strapped” when Rick Warren placed a blog post on 12-30-09 asking for 1 million by January 1, 2010

Internet Monk – Michael Spencer Update…from Michael – the Internet Monk has received his official cancer diagnosis and is going through with treatment. Michael, you’re in my prayers as well as Matt Chandler and David Wayne (jollyblogger)

Crossroads – untitled post – Diane quotes a New York Times op/ed section where it is revealed that much of global poverty is not cause by lack of funds, it is lack of proper management of those funds where it is reported that in third world areas, 20% of a man’s income is spent on alcohol, cigarettes, prostitution, etc.

Gospel Masquerade – Does Acts 2 justify “drunk manifestations”? – interesting question.

imawitness.com – imawitness videos – I discovered this site via an e-mail to a youtube video and followed the youtube channel via a link to the site and saw some interesting videos at their channels page (site is hard to find videos) but some of the videos were interesting viewing

Two more things that came later after I posted

Bene Diction Blogs on – James Dobson starting new broadcast – Looks like the big ego of Dobson couldn’t stand to not be on Christian media. In March 2010, he’s coming back to the airwaves with a new show with his son I guess to go back to his original ‘intent’ of the family to attempt to ‘re-write’ his legacy from the egotistic megalomaniac theo-politician to the ‘family psychologist’.

However, there’s a catch He needs 2 million dollars from you to get started.

First it was Hot Rod, then Warren, now Dobson

Cerulean Sanctum – The Church Amid the Economic Storm – Another gruelling, but realistic look at how churches do not seem to ‘get it’ when it comes to economic reality.
