I guess that is what is being stated in the latest video to come across Charismania. Chrystal of the Slaughter of the Sheep Blog has documented here and also here the contents of a recent video where Bob Jones (not the Bob Jones of the independent fundamentalist Baptist fame) spoke to the congregation at Rick Joyner’s church and literally stated:

I want you to break curses. I want you to break a curse off of Todd Bentley. Because well-meaning christians have put a curse on him, and that’s leaving an opening for him to be assassinated. Also, that curse is on everyone that protects him. In other words, MorningStar has been bombarded by this same disgruntled-Christian curse, not knowing what they’re doing. Take the curse off that. This building’s been…a curse put on it…take that off.”

So according to this guy, anyone who speaks out in truth against the antics of Joyner, Bentley, and Jones and also spoken out in the name of apologetics and protecting the flock are guilty in the eyes of God of ‘placing curses’ on them?

That is what it sounds like…. And it also sounds like it could be taken to the lowest common denominator that it wasn’t Todd’s fault for his adultery, it was the fault of other Christians who spoke out and disagreeed…. Come on. Who are you kidding.

When Charismatic-crapola like speaking against them is cursing them is taught, all these people are doing is being “CC” (charismatically correct) and their mindset of making believers believe that speaking against them is cursing them is actually the “CC” term for simply telling their disagreers to “Shut up”.

Since they are always feeling like they are the only true ones getting all of these attacks and curses, I want to reverse the thought processes here and ask a question here…

When people like Bentley, Joyner, Jones, and others love to call those who disagree with them through the use of proper Christian Biblical doctrine “pharisees”, “full of religious spirits”, “religious devils”, “agent of Satan”, “spiritual Judas”, “Saducess”, “rebellious”, etc. and claim that this is in reality “Cursing them”; Are these same people actually doing the exact same thing (cursing) they accuse those they disagree with them of doing? (cursing)

If their logic is properly applied to both sides, then they too, are “cursing” and are guilty as such. Christians who are ‘cursed’ by people such as Bentley, Jones, and Joyner should not only rebuke those curse applied back but should follow the Biblical command found in Matthew 5:43-45 which states :

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Tag, you’re it…… I’ve tagged you, now you’re it. And that is exactly what is being done here. It becomes like the schoolyard fight that gets broken up and the person who throws the last punch that hits is declared the winner. Or the person who sees an argument in a Christian forum and is the last one to respond means their opinion is God’s official opinion on the matter.

But this really shows the ‘level of justice’ within the charismatic movement. Big name celebrities are always ‘attacked’ by name-calling, tragedy, disagreements, and personal moral failure but the ‘little guys’ and ‘enemies’ are always blamed for their own personal tragedies and personal moral failures as committing either ’secret sin’ or ‘touching God’s anointing’ (aka disagreeing), or “lacking faith”. In reality, the average charismatic seen as ’small’ in their eyes is treated by the ‘bigwigs’ in a similar manner as their ‘enemies’……

Look at their mindsets here… It seems they never get anything done because to them; there is always another curse to break, another “repent-a-thon” to have, another mega revival to have, and another 2 Chronicles 7:14 prayer rally to attend in order to ‘break’ these ‘negative forces’ and it seems to me that there are just ‘too many’ of these ‘negative forces’ to the point where it would be way too time consuming and their agendas and goals would never be accomplished in their own lifetimes. Therefore, these people have to get ‘charismatically creative’ in order to twist the Scriptures to make them line up with their own global agendas.

With all the so called ‘repentance’ and spiritual warfare that has taken place and is currently going on, would you think that by now they should have already succeeded in obtaining ‘their next level’?

It is very clear to me that by now, not repenting hard enough, not praying and fasting long enough, not confessing enough sin, and not giving enough money are not the main reasons as to why their fantasies of utopia have not come to pass and their attempts have outright failed. The main reason why is because God is so sovereign, provident, and all-powerful to the point where HE will not allow any person or organization to both profane His holy name and to take credit or claim that it was by their mights, theories, and force that their utopia has come into existence.

The only thing that needs to be broken are not the ‘imagined’ curses on Todd Bentley that is actually the truthful spoken words of the Scriptures, but the chains that allow the charismatics to bind people up into a state of Christianized co-dependency to where they are without function without their influences speaking to them.

raise up a Daniel company of prophets and identify prophets with governmental mantles.

because (according to the advertisement)

the Daniel’s mantle carries a double fulfillment. He is first a prophet and then a prime minister. Therefore the Daniel anointing is a prophetic anointing that God is raising up to usher in a new social order of Kingdom politics.

The Daniel School of the Prophets will be activating future politicians with prophetic mantles. The Daniel anointing is also an apostolic anointing, and in order to raise up a Kingdom government we need prophetic politicians in America like Daniel who can have visions of the hidden nature of God.

This Charismatic Crapola pushed by ‘pentecostal playas’ and ‘holy hustlas’ really annoys me because it is the same crap repeated generation to generation (with different names and titles) that one would think by now that if it really worked, all of these people would be out of business because the government would have already been a theocracy that was “Christian Reconstructed”, the seven mountains were restored, and the NAR would have established the Protestant Pope as the official church leader.

Who’s next to be used? Mephibosheph Anointing?, Spirit of Diotrephes?

What’s with the eerie looking artwork of that lion? It reminds me of those eerie rapture posters the local Seventh-Day Adventists put up describing their next Bible prophecy end-times conferences and/or those pictures of the half human-half wolf pygmy gypsy seen annually at the county fair freak show.

We need to wake up and keep 1 Corinthians 10 in our hearts because those Old Testament stories were examples and warnings instead of events that you substitute your name in place of the Bible characters.

An Encounter With A False Apostle

This thought came to me when I received a link to a Wikipedia page of a man by the named of Frank Weston Sandford who lived primarily in Main and was in ministry for the first half of the twentieth century.

As I read the Wikipedia entry, I was shocked to see most of the stuff that was documented as being done by Sandford in the name of Christianity. Was I shocked at the actual acts? No, I was more shocked by the fact that the acts Sandford did “in the name of God” are some of the same acts many of these third-wave, revival junkie teachers convince us as being “new thing”, “Fresh revelation”, “cutting edge”, or “the key to power and anointing”.

Here are (per the Wikipedia article) many of the things Sandford did a century ago that we are now seeing again:

(1): Members of his group come to live at or near the headquarters “by faith” instead of having gainful employment.

(2); Hyper-emphasis on “holiness” to the point of believing in a “sinless perfection” similar and traceable to the teachings of Keswick, Wesley, and Finney.

(3): The leaders are known outside as being a authority figure who harps and develops entire theologies on issues such as authority, rebellion, loyality, and submission.

(4): Believed that every one else was stagnant, boring, and lukewarm in their Christianity when compared to himself.

(5): Performed a unusual act of faith that appeared to be impossible to experience “results”

(6): Formed a Bible School to teach his doctrines

(7): Built a building for this outreach that had a “warfare prayer room” at the top

(8): Became obsessed with spiritual warfare and demon possession, remnant purging, sickness was always due to sin…

(9): The day was not divided into disciplined times because schedules were “ruts”, “paradigms” and “flesh”

(10): Self-compared himself to a major anointed Biblical character and descendants to other Bible characters with equal anointing

(11): Fundraising letters

(12): Became obsessed with the Jewish feasts, Israel, claiming Israel for Jesus, and ordered everyone to fast on Maundy Thursday because that was the real day Jesus died

(13): Real big on mega-fasts, and spiritual warfare missions from the outside of the mission target.

(14): Viewed disagreers as ‘touching the anointed’ and possessing “religious spirits’

Sandford returned to Maine to find his community at what he considered a low spiritual ebb and with many members ill, most fearfully with smallpox. Sandford prescribed a regimen of severe whippings and fastings for children who misbehaved. Peers were encouraged to closely examine each other’s lives for sin. In January 1903, Sandford instituted a “Ninevah Fast” forbidding all food or liquid for thirty-six hours even for infants, animals, and the sick. During that period fourteen-year-old Leander Bartlett, who had confessed to the most serious sin of planning to run away from Shiloh, died of diphtheria. When Sandford’s own six-year-old son, John, disobeyed him, Sandford ordered him to fast without food or water until he declared himself glad to be whipped

Shirley Nelson, Fair Clear and Terrible: The Story of Shiloh, Maine (Latham, New York: British American Publishing, 1989), The “Ninevah Fast” was a reference to Jonah 3.7.

Heavy emphasis on fasts, naming fasts after a Bible event to justify actions, and aberrant means of discipling children in the name of ‘defeating the flesh’.

However, what was even more interesting was that when legal troubles began, Sandford purchased a yacht (brought forth by a 40 day pray-a-thon – see the “thon / distance” pattern and the “40″ significance) and began trips to Jerusalem and later on after his legal troubles were over…

…circumnavigated the globe on what he described as a missionary journey. It was an unconventional missionary enterprise. No one went ashore to preach the Gospel or even distribute religious literature. Sandford intended to “subdue the world for Christ” by intercessory prayer, claiming nations and isles for Christ by sounding brass instruments as they passed by.

Where have we seen this type of missions recently? Oh yes, spiritual mapping, and fasts to break “territorial spirits”. Today, instead of playing brass instruments of trumpets to bring down Jericho, we blow shofars….

If you read the rest of the article, you see similar patterns of blaming others “spiritual weaknesses” for tragedies and shortcomings. You will see a common tactic of running from the law to do the Lord’s work thinking the Lord’s work superceeds a law. You will see a pattern of when in prison, followers writing every word to re-communicate to the other followers. You will also see a pattern of leaders having nice possessions and good meals while the followers lived in poverty and were starving to be a member of the elite remnant.

Sandford eventually fled Maine after everything collapsed to the “burned out district of upstate New York” (see the pattern of Finney here) where he lived the rest of his life. It was there that his death and funeral was a secret to the point where his death was revealed six weeks after he died.

But these things are very critical to be observed because the founding fathers of the modern pentecostal movement were deeply influenced by Sandford and many of these patterns and traits are at work in many of the pentecostal and charismatic churches today.

From Wesley / Keswick / Finney – to Sandford – to Parham and Tomlinson and Azusa Street – to latter rain – to charismatic / word of faith – to Toronto / Brownsville / Smithton – to IHOP, Bob Jones, and the Elijah List Prophets – to now the ugliness of the Lakeland Revival…

Hyper Holiness, impossible perfectionalism, and ungodly spiritual warfare techniques and over-emphaisis on submission and authority seems to be passed on from generation to generation and “move” to “move”. The stuff done years ago suddenly appear as the “new thing”. The same methods that have failed are re-proclaimed as the ‘divine revelation’ to “reclaim” a depraved world. The stuff documented as failed suddenly become the tactics of the latest Christian booksellers, conventions, fast-a-thons, and warfare rallies. What goes around comes around and history is repeating itself all over again.

Christian Celebrity Repentance Episodes

I left my comment and afterwards, started to think again about a certain potion of that comment

What many people tend to forget is that the movie was filmed way before the exposing of Ted Haggard. Ted Haggard was a dualistic personality within Christianity in many ways. He was widely respected by the Religious Right types for his ‘conservative ways’ and was seen by many within Christianity as being the ‘middle ground’ and more articulate and mannerly with appeal to the secular media than crass folks like Dobson, Wildmon, D. James Kennedy, Falwell, and Robertson. Secondly, because he lived in Colorado Springs, Haggard was deeply affiliated with the leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation (Wagner, Sheets, Jacobs, Pierce) and was seen in the same way that the religious right saw him because those leaders were also crass ad brash in the public eye.

Haggard was the bridge between these two separate agendas that on the outside appeared not to like each other (religious right was more mainline in Christian thought while the NAR was more pentecostal / charismatic in thought) but on the inside worked together in secret because without the other, neither group’s individual agendas would never come to existence. It would have taken the votes for the creation of the religious right utopia in America by the mainline Christians to eventually lead to the empowering of the New Apostolic Reformation as the official ‘global church authority’.

And why is Haggard now despised by both of these groups after his sins were exposed? Because he set their movements and agendas back another hundred years and/or permanently damaged their chances of ever obtaining their agendas. The religious right then looked to Sarah Palin (similar beliefs as Becky Fischer) and the NAR then looked to Todd Bentley and the Lakeland Revival where Bismarck, ND (Fischer’s birthplace) was ‘prophecied’ as one of the 100 Global Revival training and outpouring centers’.

History tells us how that worked out…..

and I began to realize more and more…..

The American Religious Right and the New Apostolic Reformation are Christianity’s version of classic television show “The Odd Couple”

The American Religious Right reminds me of the Felix Ungar character played by Tony Randall (and ‘played’ today by such people as Dobson, Wildmon, and Robertson but was ‘played’ in the past by Rushdoony, Falwell, and D. James Kennedy. The American Religious Right, like Felix Ungar is portrayed as the neat, clean, and orderly individual with an upper middle class white-collar job. And like Ungar, who was thrown out of his house by his wife, the American Religious Right strongly feels as if it was thrown out of it’s house of power by the ‘liberals’ and divorced from it’s place in American History.

The New Apostolic Reformation reminds me of the Oscar Madison character played by Jack Klugman (and played today by such people as C. Peter Wagner, Rick Joyner, Dutch Sheets, Cindy Jacobs, and Chuck Pierce). The New Apostolic Reformation, like Oscar Madison, is portrayed as the sloppy, disorderly, and casual individual with the lower middle class white collar job. And like Madison, who was thrown out of his house by his wife, the New Apostolic Reformation strongly feels as if it was thrown out of it’s house by the Vineyard Churches and divorced from it’s place in what they wish to be contemporary American Christianity. And like Oscar, who complained about paying alimony to the ex-wife, there seems to be a part of the New Apostolic Reformation that begrudges paying the alimony of history recognition back to the Vineyard church.

Where we see Felix Ungar try to win back, reconcile and eventually remarry his ex-wife, we see the American Religious Right try via politics, to ‘win back America’, forcibly reconcile (without ‘compromise’), and eventually remarry back into American culture it divorced years ago when they ran to the bunker trying to fight the culture war.

On the other hand, we see Oscar Madison verbally demean his wife and happy for his divorce feeling that he is better off. In the same manner, we have seen the New Apostolic Reformation come out against in sardonic means the Vineyard Churches and classical streams of the pentecostal and charismatic movement while at the same time, believe that they are thankful for their divorce feeling that they really are better off separated.

Throughout the entire run of television episodes, we see conflict arise between Madison and Ungar that threatens to end their friendship alliance, but the influences at their individual workplaces and their outside friends keep Madison and Ungar balanced. Even though both Madison and Ungar disdain publicly the other’s way of living, they realize that in order to survive the harsh reality of the big city, they really need each other for financial support to keep renting an apartment. Even though both the American Religious Right and the New Apostolic Reformation privately disdain the other’s way of life, they realize that in order to survive the bitter reality of the ‘once glorious’ nation, they need each other for votes / political support to keep the hope that one day, their separate end-result agendas will one day come to pass.

But there was one person that held the cohesive glue to making the friendship and alliance work. In the television show, it was Murray the Cop. In the Christian version, it was…..

Ted Haggard

for those reasons I mentioned in my original response to Spencer’s article about the Jesus Camp. Haggard was at that time, one of the very few people who had mutual respect and influence/affluence within both the American Religious Right and the New Apostolic Reformation. Haggard would have signs on the property of his church telling people who and what propositions to vote for/against. Haggard was very instrumental in helping out C Peter Wagner (who once attended Haggard’s church) in creating the World Prayer Center as well as the World Prayer Team.

And we saw what happened to Haggard… And we saw how The Odd Couple severed their ties with Haggard… And we saw how The Odd Couple tried their separate things (Religious Right with Sarah Palin as a vice-presidential candidate and NAR with Todd Bentley and the Lakeland Revival).

On the last episode of the television show, Felix eventually remarries his ex-wife and goes back to his house and moves in while Oscar goes back to living alone once again. In many ways, the American Religious Right is trying their best to eventually win the heart of the ex-wife they call America back in order to be able to remarry her and move back into the mainstream influence of American society and culture war. Really, the culture war was nothing more than the grand divorce of the Christian Religious Right from Americana. And as the apartment that Felix and Oscar shared was the haven from life, the bunker mentality called the church building and it’s imitation of culture was the haven from real life. Instead of trying to work things out (like they tell marriages in trouble to do), the American Religious right settled for refuge with the New Apostolic Reformation and their sloppy Christianity and enjoyed the ‘pentecostal poker games’ Oscar had with his buddies.

In the end, I want to leave with you the final scene from the final show

Felix: Your dinner’s in the oven; turn it off in twenty minutes. [pause] Oscar … what can I say? Five years ago you took me in: a broken man on the verge of … mental collapse. I leave here a cured human being. I owe it all to you. [gesturing toward apartment] It’s all yours buddy. I salute you. [empties waste basket onto floor]

Oscar: Felix, you know how I’m gonna salute you? I’m gonna clean that up.

Felix: It has not been in vain. [They shake hands and Felix exits stage right through front door. After door closes …]

Oscar: [swings his hand through the air] I’m not gonna clean that up! [exits stage left to bedroom to audience laughter]

[Felix sneaks back in stage right and looks at floor]

Felix: [disgustedly] I knew he wouldn’t clean it up! [proceeds to pick up trash to audience applause] (fade out)

And I believe that one day, if the remarriage of the Religious right to American society and culture does take place, we will see this same scene take place. Because both the American Religious Right and the New Apostolic Reformation did the exact same thing that Felix and Oscar did…

They created a mess.

The American Religious Right with a utopia dream of no more gays, outlaw abortion, high unemployment, S&L scandals, and the lunch buffet ‘pick and choose’ theologies of Sarah Palin left a mess called an ‘image’. The NAR, with their splits from the Vineyard, their esoteric eisegesis, and the mockery called Todd Bentley and the Lakeland Revival left a colossal mess called a ‘temporary setback’ (really, its called ’sin’). As Felix Ungar went to start his new life to re-identify himself in that last episode, he eventually cleaned up the mess before leaving. The American Religious right, with the deaths of many of it’s controversial leaders and the Sarah Palin fiasco, are trying to clean up it’s mess and re-identify itself with a ‘new image’ of the mainline, clean, and moral individual as caring and compassionate.

The NAR, on the other hand, contributed to this mess over time (Kansas City Prophets, spiritual mapping, revival/renewal, Toronto Blessing, identificational repentance, and Todd Bentley / Lakeland) but like Oscar, refuses to clean the mess up because they really do not feel that it’s a mess and belongs in the society of the “Apostolic Apartment” that they now live in outright. It’s not a mess, it’s a setback to greatness as Oscar went to the bedroom to go back being a sports writer, they really believe that Galatians 6:1 means that Todd Bentley will go back as a high-powered revivalist.

However, Felix cleaned up the mess…. And if by chance one day, if the American Religious Right gets back into power (with the help of the votes from the seven mountains and the supporters of the NAR), you may find out that the cleancut, mainline, and orderly neat freak will no longer tolerate the messy, lunatic fringe, and disorderly slob and come up with legal ways to stop the theologies of the NAR / Third Wave and establish the mainline Christian religion as the official law of the land and official state religion…..

Which was part of what the American Religious Right wanted all along…

The Odd Couple

The Dead Raising Team

This is so wrong, heretical, weird and blasphemous…

I do believe that God can raise up a person from the dead. However, it was not done as a ’specific niche-market specialized parachurch ministry”.

There is something else that I have noticed here. The main page mentions that (and I have to type because the pages have the text as an image and i wonder why because most pages have text that can be copied and pasted) “…the DRT has comforted families in the midst of grief, as well as having one resurrection to date as a result of their prayers.”

If something that significant happened, wouldn’t we see the person who was raised from the dead give a complete testimony with a notarized statement and highlighted and plastered all over the webpage?

But there is one story buried deep on the “Meet the team” page of the “Edward and Marsha Hayes” section about a man off the coast of Florida who went out in the water, drowned, was pronounced dead, and was brought back to life.

I have alot of problems with this story

(1): In the first paragraph, they mentioned that after attending the revival for a few days, the woman and her son decided to go to the beach and relax.

WAIT A MINUTE, I thought that was the purpose of ‘revivals’; to ‘relax’ and get ‘refreshed’ and ‘renewed’. Do we have to now go and get refreshed and relax from revivals?

(2): Marsha mentions that “Though they (lifeguards) were trained in CPR and other life saving education, they could not get a heartbeat. Once they had thoroughly given their best effort to bring him back, the man was pronounced dead.”

Here is where the red flags start rising up!!!!

2-A: I went through CPR training years ago and the very first thing we were taught about arriving on the scene where an individual needed CPR was to assign one person to go call 911 for an ambulance and the trained CPR people are to administer CPR and never quit administering CPR until a registered nurse, a licensed physician, police/fire personnel, or a certified Emergency Medical Technician / ambulance crew arrived that had advanced training and advance equipment could take over and attempt to resuscitate the man.

In fact, if a doctor appears on the scene, he or she does not tell the layperson performing CPR ‘That’s enough, he’s dead’. No, they would take over the process and make further attempts to resuscitate the person under CPR.

2-B: Who pronounced the man as being dead? The way the English language semantics are stated in her sentence, it comes across as the lifeguards pronounced him dead.

In most states, a bystander/witness, EMT crew, policeman, fireman, nurse, or a lifeguard can not declare anyone dead or even establish the official cause of death. Only an attending physician, a medical examiner, or a coroner can pronounce a person as being dead and state the cause of death. Or in extreme cases as in the disappearance of Steve Fossett in Nevada, a judge declared him legally dead.

Even though it appeared that this man had no evident signs of life, by the laws of most states, he could not in any way shape or form be declared dead except by an attending physician, a medical examiner, or a coroner. Technically, the man could never be considered as dead because the man was never declared dead by an authorized person.

(3): “When they finally finished praying, the young man was without brain damage and able to move all parts of his body, completely restored from death”

Do we have the young man’s name to where the story can be verified? Do we have any medical documentation stating that the young man had no after effects? Wouldn’t this have made the local news and after being submitted to organizations such as the Associated Press, been on cable news networks as part of a ‘feel good feature’?

Even the Gospels mentioned Lazarus’ name when Jesus rose him from the dead in John 11 and Lazarus was already in the tomb for four days and in his grave clothes. Lazarus was already declared dead and buried.

Resuscitation is totally different from being Raised from the dead

Lazarus was raised from the dead because verse John 11:44 stated the words

And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

The man who apparently drowned (if this story is even true), was resuscitated from a state of unconsciousness.

I have my doubts on the legitimacy of both the story and the ministry. Raising someone from the dead in this cable news society would have made worldwide headlines and would have created an Internet buzz to talk about. When ABC Nightline confronted Todd to provide documentation of the healings at Lakeland, none of the healings could be verified as true and none of the raising of the dead stories were ever verified as being true.

Where are the true prophets?

For many years now, I have mulled this valid question over and over again as I see the self-appointed ‘prophets’ (actually ‘profits’) run amok throughout Christianity. In fact, I am not the only one who is asking the question. Diane over at Crossroads is asking the same question and is asking them to come forward to stand up against these false prophets. In fact, she has a great quote in her blog post

There is nothing wrong with the command of God to ’stone the false prophet!’ The problem is that the church has discerned wrongly and stoned the true prophet! That is why there are no more true prophets in our days, because as soon as they begin their ministry, we rub them out. This is the reason that so many false prophets are running around, not just because it’s the end of the age but because we have disobeyed God, His command, and killed off His prophets! We are like Herod, who in the midst of John the Baptist’s ministry, chose a wrong time to listen to his conscience instead of the Holy Spirit!

After I read Diane’s article and the quote posted in her article. I thought about three different things that has been discussed before in different articles.

The “mentality” of the prophet.

The rebuking of the prophetic movement

The “obsession” with linking themselves to past people and revivals considered to be ‘great’ as a means to self-legitimize themselves via ‘legacy’ and ‘mantles’.

The quote above is very accurate because we have stoned the true prophets for the false ones. Instead of worshiping the Messiah, we have made worship out of the ‘mysticism’ and ‘gnosticism’ mindset and environment that has been created and hyped of a prophet that is distant, aloof, hermitic, and walks in an ‘elevated state’ than everybody else (insert your spiritualized and ethereal sounding mood music here). We even aid and abet the process by creating this mystical environment that comes across as ‘off limits’ to everyone else except the ‘chosen ones of the remnant’. We worship the ground their feet walk on worshipping the aura they emit of being ‘better than us’. We even go as far as to try to write our life story vicariously around trying to get ‘inside the inner circle’ of the ’secret Spiritual society’ in order to feel more ’spiritual’, more worthy, more ‘anointed’, and more ‘entitled’ to some level of respect we really want to demand from others. We want to know the secret code, secret handshake, secret combination of the spiritual safe, secret location of the clubhouse, and the secret password to enter in, be accepted, and partake of the ‘rituals and traditions’.

Instead of worshipping the Messiah, we have worshiped the ‘marketing’ of the prophetic rally. From the ‘Christian Counterintelligence’ mindset of the ‘pre-rally’ demon exorcisms, the numerous ‘offerings’ in addition to the exuberant conference registration fees and book/tape sales, the generic ‘words’ that could apply to everyone, to the ‘Christian Culture Clique’ of offering an equivalent style to what you see in secular circles and calling it ‘taking it back from the enemy’; we have engaged in just another pep rally thinking we have opened the heavenlies only to realize when it’s too late that we are closing ourselves off from what God really wants to do.

We claim to want the power of the Messiah but quickly sell out for the ‘Magic’ of the appearance of gold dust, chicken feathers, ‘bizarre healings’ that can not be verified, and cubic zirconium gems by the “MESSYianic Magician” within our midst.

We claim to want the power of the Messsiah and the prophetic but quickly settle for the ‘Pathetic Psychics’ and their ‘pathetic realm’ of analysing future ‘trends’ and adding a Christian slant to them. We love their 20/20 hindsight accuracy rate, their claim to have prophesied a disaster ten years before that disaster happened, along with their ‘excuses’ of God holding back become someone prayed (preyed) when their words do not come true.

Instead of worshipping the Messiah, we have worshiped the concept of ‘mantle’ and have hyped “the (insert name of good Bible character here) anointing / blessing” and how for giving some money, you can obtain the ‘blessing’. We have people who set themselves up as the official prophetic database of what is prophetic and use the name of a true Biblical prophet to describe his ‘list’. We have people who claim to possess the heritage and ‘mantle’ of some famous prophet. We have people who claim to possess a ‘double anointing’ of some famous prophet. We have people who ‘celebrate’ the anniversary of past revivals. We have people who visit famous revival sites of old trying to recreate the ‘revival’ or trying to ‘receive’ the ‘impartation’ and ‘anointing’ from those old buildings. We have people like John Crowder who claim to receive anointing from the cemetery plots of famous healing revivalists just like Benny Hinn claimed to receive anointing from the grave of Kathryn Kuhlman claiming he had the key to the gate locking the private burial garden away from the general public. In fact, with the recent death of Jill Austin, I am expecting some up and coming female ‘prophetess’ to come forth with a press release from a public relations firm and proclaim that she ‘has the mantle of Jill Austin’ therefore “you better listen to her or else”.

We expect prophets to appear to be dysfunctional, autistic, ’superheroes’, and ’spaced out’ in the physical walking around as if he is too busy to partake of life here on Earth. We expect miracles to come before them and follow after them as they act eccentric (John The Baptist mindset).

A prophet becomes a profit…..
A prophet becomes a psychic…..
A Christian becomes a celebrity…..
A ‘revivalist’ becomes royality…..

However, I believe that if we were ever to come across a real prophet, that person would behave in a ’supernaturally natural’ mode to where he comes across as a normal and natural human being but is so blessed with the supernatural anointing of God that everything he does comes across very naturally from yard work, parenting, employee, discipleship, consumer, friendships, ministry, spouse, to teaching from the Bible where his actions more than his words speaks of the wonders of God and edifies and comforts the church.

No sideshows. No freaky carnival atmospheres. No hype and sending out the press releases to proclaim yourself. No need to formulate mega fasts on a special cool looking date on the calendar,. No need to generate a ‘if my people who are called by my name….’ mega rallies around a ‘bible number’ to appear ‘of God’. The prophet of today brings forth edification to the church to advance the kingdom of God and doesn’t try to extort from the church to fatten his influence, affluence, and pocketbook. The prophet today does not have to ‘act’ holy, spiritual, and anointed. The prophet today is just being himself as the anointing flows out of him.

Where are the real prophets? I believe that they are out there. Even though the churches may have ’spiritually stoned’ many of the true prophets, I still believe that (1 Kings 18 reference) there are a select group of prophets who physically exist in the ’supernaturally natural’ realm everyday but spiritually are ‘hidden in caves’ to protect them from the ‘climate’ and ‘WILDerness’ of malicious murder that was done in an attempt to silence their voices because they chose to speak out against the mentalities acting like Jezebel that manipulate (fueled by her passive husband who has a mentality of Ahab) and control what a church defines as ‘true prophetic’.

But as the Lord did in 1 Kings 18 and 19, He today does the same thing. Where it was revealed in 1 Kings 18 that the prophets were hidden and preserved in the caves, it became revealed in 1 Kings 19:18 that

Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.

God also gives strength and perseverance to a group of people who refused to bow down to the idolatry consisting of mega prophets and celebrity pastors that had forsaken God’s covenant, torn down God’s altars and built stages to perform ‘whoreship’, and killed God’s prophets spiritually with the ’sword of a familiar spirit’ they call their ‘new revelations of the bible’.

It’s interesting to see this because as the true prophet strengthens and edifies the church, he needs a people who will become that church that will allow themselves to be strengthened to fulfill the Great Commission.

So you also have to ask this question in addition to the question of real prophets

Where are the real people of God who have refused to compromise, refused to kiss the mouths of the ‘pathetics’ that spew out junk; and refused to bow down to the self-exalting system that creates idols and icons out of a select self-appointed people who proclaim themselves as ‘anointed’ when in fact, they are actually annoying.?

When the true prophet comes forth from the cave and successfully fulfills the call God has on him and the event comes to pass, then you will see the true people of God come forth to participate in the restoration of the true church.

It is about time we start seeing some true prophets come out of their spiritual caves and when we do. Look out!!! Trouble is about to happen.

What I am seeing, this is getting nuts and seems to be based on the same pervasive mentality that permeated Lakeland. It seems like the same old Word of Faith teachings taken another step further with a more militant stance.

Seven Mountain Mentality

That term has always stuck with me and it triggered an old memory of mine. I remember in the late 1970’s when radio had to give news briefs at the top and bottom of the hour, a local classic rock radio station used to interject a song entitled “The Robots” by Kraftwerk as ‘filler music’ if there was not enough time between the last song and the news break to play another song.

I thought about this and now everytime I think about that song, I start singing it and substituting the word ‘NARBots’ for ‘robots’ because it adequately describes the ‘do and do not think’ mentality of the New Apostolic Reformation wanting every Christian church to align under them and be their slaves to fulfill their unGodly and selfish ambitions of control and manipulation of what is deemed by them as ‘official real Christianity’. I think that it would be cool to remix this song and the video with clips from the Lakeland Revival with the lyrics…

“WE ARE THE NARBOTS”

That is what people like Wagner, Ahn, Johnson, Bentley, King, etc. are really saying.
